Is It Over For Hillary?

Last night was a bummer. It was f----ed up. How could it have ended so badly for Hillary. As I watched her once comfortable double-digit lead dwindle, the angrier I became. Earlier, all the networks declared Obama the winner in North Carolina even BEFORE they had ANY raw votes, citing exit polls. He had the opportunity to give his victory speech, which sounded like he was the nominee (he isn't yet), and basked in the glory of the media, giving him the headlines. Meanwhile, Hillary had to wait ALL Night until the Lake County idiots, whose Black Mayor, Clay, who blogged in the Washington Post that "the world would pay attention to Gary" held up the votes and would not release ANY preliminary numbers....ANY! Are we even in America?!

As I sat and watched, all the while becoming angrier and angrier, yelling at the TV and asking: "Why the hell aren't they calling the race for Hillary even with 85% of precincts reporting?!" I was yelling, f---- these people, she should go out and TAKE the victory." No sooner than after I said that, Major Garrett from the FOX Network, reported that there was a deliberate holdup of the votes in Lake County, and that the Clinton Campaign was getting angrier by the minute. As soon as I heard that, my response was: I knew it, those Obama supporters are tampering with the ballots! I then switched to CNN and John King, and the other pundits were saying how outrageous the whole thing was. They were saying the preliminary results should be sent in incrementally and these is no excuse that explains the delay. A mayor from another city (name escapes me now) came on and explained that there have been problems in previous elections, and said implicitly that the proximity of Lake County and Gary to Chicago has resulted in the Chicago, mob-style politics. He told John King that he knew what the numbers were for the touch screen numbers, not the absentee ballots, and proceeded to give actual vote counts. I checked back after checking Fox, just in time to hear the interview of Mayor Clay from Gary, who defended the delay, citing completeness (He wanted to have all the votes). When King pressed him about the actual procedure of releasing partial numbers, he claimed they would be ready and that the workers were "doing a good job." When I heard this, I thought, Oh Shit, they are tampering with the votes. Once the interview was completed, the results were miraculously in the computers and there was "suddenly" 98% reporting.

Obama did not carry a large enough percentage to overcome Hillary's 20,000+ votes. She Hung on to the 2% win. However, I believe vote tampering occurred, and if the media has not demanded answers, Hillary's lead would have disappeared. It was not lost on me that Roland Martin was laughing the entire time. To his credit, Jeffery Toobin, an obvious Obama supporter, was outraged, saying this thing was unacceptable. Maybe that was the lawyer in him talking. Curiously, not one news organization reported on the "strange" delay this morning. Everyone was caught up in the spectacle of Obama's "expected" win.

Obama said Indiana would be a tie-breaker after Pennsylvania because everyone "expected" him to win North Carolina because of the "Black Vote" and Hillary to win Pennsylvania because of the "blue collar vote" in Pennsylvania. He said Indiana would be the tie-breaker because it did not favor either of them, although Indiana is in his back yard. Well... Hillary won the tie-breaker, no matter how small (I think hanky-panky was going on), and the media acts as if she is suddenly done. Why aren't they asking why he can't win a state in his back yard? Once again, the bar is set so high for Hillary ans so low for Obama. She has to win both States, but he only needs to win one, and he is the stronger candidate? Are you kidding me? I think what they were doing in Lake County was to make up additional ballots for Obama to limit the size of Hillary's win. Mayor Clay and the election official (don't know her name) has not given an adequate explanation as to why they refused to release the number of votes last night, depriving Hillary of her victory speech. The scurrilous bastards!

No sooner after I said she should declare victory, since they wanted to deny her her victory speech, therefore diminishing her win, Hillary came out and gave a courageous victory speech, under the circumstances. I sensed some of the fight has gone out of her, but she got stronger, and gained confidence toward the end. I must have been very difficult for her, after all the time and work, not to mention money, that she put into the race. Regardless what happens, I admire and respect her as a woman and a fighter. In the beginning, my support of Hillary was mainly because I love Bill Clinton, however, I can honestly saw she has gained my love in her own right. I believe in her, I respect her, and I am mad as hell that Blacks have basically abandoned her for Obama, discounting everything she and her husband has done for Blacks. It is wrong, and it is tragic. They say there is no loyalty in politics. This election certainly proves that. There has been so many defections (the first being George loser McGovern, who had the temerity to tell her to drop out, and probably others) and betrayals of the Clintons....I don't know how these people look themselves in the mirror. Oh, I know how! Obama will be staring back at them, so I guess it it is easy to stab Hillary in the back. As I have said before in another forum, they had all better pray that wonder-boy Obama wins in the General (since apparently they are going to ignore his weaknesses and give him the nomination), otherwise, there will be hell to play. There is going to be so much payback if he loses and the Superdelegates" mistakes blows up in their faces. I for one will laugh my ass off.
